The Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine invites you and your colleagues to take a free course: Introduction to Environmental Medicine. Environmental medicine is based on the premise that what we eat, drink, breathe, place on our skin, or are otherwise exposed to in our environment has a direct effect upon our health.  From lead poisoning to the safety of household cleaning products, cosmetics, and pesticides, this course explores the impact of environmental factors on the health of individuals and populations.

ABOUT THE COURSE: The 6-hour interactive course will help you understand environmental factors at home and work; develop a better understanding of the strengths and limitations of environmental health research; and learn why certain populations, such as pregnant women and children, are particularly vulnerable. By completing a personal Environmental Exposure History, you can identify current or past exposure, reduce or eliminate current exposure, and live a healthier life.   The curriculum has something to offer everyone, and is specifically designed to train doctors and nurses to deal with the vast range of risks.
